First Xiaomi Mi 4c Camera Samples Surface

Xiaomi has held a press conference in China a couple of days ago where they announced their long rumored Mi 4c smartphone. The company has also announced that they’re becoming an MVNO by releasing Mi Mobile plans in cooperation with Chinese carriers. That being said, we’re here to talk more about the announced smartphone considering the fact first camera samples have surfaced online, and considering this phone sports a really solid sensor on the inside, it might be interesting to take a look at these.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c features Sony’s IMX258 or Samsung’s S5K3M2 13-megapixel sensor (PDAF included) on the inside. Xiaomi is using both of these sensors actually, and you really won’t be able to tell which one is included in your particular device until you get the phone and do some serious digging. Anyhow, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll be able to see some images taken with Sony’s IMX258 sensor on the Xiaomi Mi 4c. This sensor is actually rather new, and uses Sony’s latest tech, so we expected the images to be decent at the very least. Well, it seems like the photos didn’t disappoint, they’re actually quite good considering this is a 13-megapixel snapper we’re talking about here, and also keeping in mind this device is priced at $204 (3GB RAM variant) and $235 (4GB RAM model). Anyhow, take a look at the images down below, and see for yourself.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c features a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor fuels this smartphone. Aside from the 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter, this phone also sports a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The device does offer 4G LTE connectivity, and also sports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes out of the box, and Xiaomi’s MIUI 7 OS is installed on top of Google’s operating system. The device’s software also packs in some extra tricks, like the double tap to wake feature, and some interesting frame touch features. The device measures 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8mm, while it weighs 132 grams. That’s more or less it, if anything else interesting pops up regarding this device, we’ll let you know.
