Google has been updating a number of apps of late with the last 24 hours seeing updates arriving for the Google+ app, Google Wallet and Google News & Weather. While none of them have been feature heavy updates, the one common denominator is that they have been updated to be in line and adopt the newly Google rebranding. Well, another app has also seen an update now and this one does actually come with a few noteworthy new features. The app is Google My Business and offers its users a cleaner and more effective way to monitor and manage the more social aspects of the business. Or to be more accurate, a way to note and respond to reviews and provide details about your business.
In terms of the new features, these are actually more refining of the current features. As such, if you are a 24 hour operational business, you can now list your business as such. This in contrast to where you would have to list your hours using an open and closed format. Not to mention, as well as defining your operating hours more accurately, you can also define your operational radius so customers know where your business limits lie.
Additional features also being listed in the changelog include the ability to view your business on Search, Maps and Google+ in a more streamlined manner. According to the changelog “Like magic, but better.” Following on from the Google+ point, the changes also list the ability to more insightfully see who your Google+ posts are reaching which presumably will help to determine which sort of customer is taking note of your posts and help you to further customize those posts for a more effective and relevant manner. So all in all, an update which looks to provide more detailed feedback on how your business is doing through the various Google services and apps. If you run or own a business and have yet to start using Google My Business then now might be the time to give the app a try. To do so, hit the link below to head over to the Play Store listing.
