Fitbit has been around for a good little while now. And to be honest, you probably know someone who has a Fitbit if you don’t yourself. This year, Fitbit rolled our three new products, the Fitbit Charge, Charge HR and the Surge. Priced at $125, $150 and $250 respectively. Now at IFA 2015, they are announcing a few new colors for these products. The Charge HR is coming in blue beginning mid-September, it’ll be available in Tangerine in mid-October. Finally the Surge will be available in both Tangerine and Blue at the end of November. The Surge aims to be a smartwatch replacement and has a much larger display compared to the Charge HR. While the Charge HR is basically there to tell you how your vitals are doing. It does take your heart rate, as expected as the name does hint at that.
Currently, Fitbit owns 83% of the market in the UK, in France that number is 50% and in Germany it’s 32%. The market has also seen unprecedented growth in the recent year, and Fitbit has grown as much as 531% in the UK. That’s pretty insane. Recently the company went public, and is now a publicly-traded company on the stock exchange. So Fitbit has a bright future, and we can’t wait to see what products the company has to show off at the next trade show!
We went hands on with the new colors for the Charge HR and the Surge today in Berlin at IFA, all of which are listed down below. Be sure to check them out.
