There’s been plenty of smart connected products shown off at the IFA conference in Berlin this week, including this new Smart Health Scale from Qardio called the QardioBase. Like any other scale you can use it to measure your weight, but unlike regular scales it’s wireless and can connect to your smartphone allowing you to check and review data via the smartphone app. The QardioBase can also measure your body mass index, your body fat percentage, your muscle mass, and water and bone composition.
Through the companion smartphone app the QardioBase can send you little reminders to help you keep on top of your fitness goals. The app also helps you focus on long-term goals using the built-in function called Smart Feedback Mode. As part of this the QardioBase will display a different smiley face based on how well you’re keeping on track to help you stay motivated instead of focusing on numbers that may be going up and down on a daily basis. You can however view your actual weight numbers and statistics at any time in the app. The QardioBase is currently available for pre-order for $149.99 and is expected to ship starting from September 25th. Qardio was also showing off the QardioArm at the event which is their smart wireless blood pressure monitor. It comes in a variety of clors and can measure your blood pressure as well as your heart rate, and you can easily share statistics and data with your doctor and family.
