Withings had a pretty big announcement this morning. Not only did they integrate their products with Spotify, but their entire lineup is now compatible with Android. That’s a huge deal actually. Previously, their products mostly only worked with iOS, and now they’ve opened up to the huge market that is Android, I say huge, because Android is over two-thirds of the Android market currently, while iOS is most of the remaining third. The Aura Sleep System includes a connected alarm clock, which Withings has engineered to give users the best wake up experience possible. In turn, that makes your day start out much better. The way it does this is mixing in playlists from Spotify that are dedicated to sleep. Pretty cool. The connected alarm clock is obviously connected with your Android or iOS device, whether that be a tablet or smartphone. And you can use your device to set your alarm. It seems like it’ll wake you up pleasantly, instead of having your phone ringing at full volume in the morning. No one likes that.
