IFA 2015: A Look At Onkyo's Wireless Earphones

IFA 2015 has been full of interesting announcements from all over the tech sphere, and while much of it has been laptops and consumer electronics, the mobile side of things is very much alive and well. Android Wear devices keep on coming in the form of the Huawei Watch, the new Moto 360 and Samsung threw their hat in the smartwatch ring with the Gear S2. Nothing quite says mobile however, than being able to listen to music without wires and while Bluetooth headphones have been around for a while now – as well as Bluetooth earphones – they’re often fairly bulky and whatnot. Onkyo however, have unveiled a set of Bluetooth earphones that don’t have a wire joining left and right and, in person, don’t look that big at all.

We got to spend some time with them on the show floor at IFA in Berlin, Germany and while they are larger than your usual earbud, they’re not too much larger considering they’re totally wireless. Right now, these are pre-production models, but it does appear as though Onkyo is looking to develop and launch these as a high-end product in their lineup. With Bluetooth headphones continuing to get chunkier, a set like this would be a nice option for those looking to free themselves from wires on the move and it almost reminds us of a double-ear Moto Hint or something similar.
