IFA 2015: A Look At Raumfeld's Multi-room Soundbar

As Android TV steadily makes its way on to more TVs available in the market, like the new Ambilight range from Philips, our smartphones and tablets are become more and more an integral part of the living room. Google made the smartphone a genuine part of our entertainment experience with the Google Chromecast and now soundbars and speakers are becoming friendly with our smartphones and tablets, too.

During IFA 2015 in Berlin, Raumfeld had some new soundbar and subwoofer combos to show off. The subwoofer connects to the soundbar wirelessly with a range of 10 meters and everything can be controlled by the Android app on smartphones and tablets. Music fans that enjoy TIDAL’s lossless playback will enjoy the fact that TIDAL is built in to the control app. This will also work with the likes of Spotify as well as function as a multi-room speaker setup a la Sonos and other offerings from the likes of LG and Samsung. Using 3D sound technology, Raumfeld say they can create a large presence from the pair of devices and it looks as though these won’t be cheap when they launch towards the end of this month.

As we’re a mobile site here at Android Headlines, we’ve focused mostly on the app below, and what sort of connected functionality this set will have when they go on sale later this year.
