Leagoo's New Flagship Is Now Available For Pre-Order

Leagoo is one of the China-based smartphone OEMs most of you have probably never heard of. Well, this company has been producing smartphones for quite some time now, and have produced about a dozen smartphones thus far, along with a number of smartphones accessories. We’re not here to talk about the company in general though, but a new device they announced quite recently. Leagoo has held a press conference in Malaysia recently where they announced their new flagship, the Leagoo Elite 1.

The Leagoo Elite 1 features a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080, 441 PPI) JDI display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 64GB). This smartphone is powered by an unnamed 64-bit octa-core SoC (28nm Cortex-A53), almost certainly manufactured by MediaTek. The 16-megapixel camera (Sony’s 4th-gen sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens) is located on the back of Leagoo Elite 1, and a 13-megapixel shooter (Sony’s 3rd-gen sensor, f/2.4 aperture, 77-degree wide-angle lens) is available on the device’s front side. The dual-LED, dual tone flash is located next to the rear-facing snapper, and the device packs in a 2,400mAh battery on the inside. This is a dual SIM handset which offers 4G TLE connectivity (FDD-LTD 800/1800/2100/2600).

The frame of this smartphone is made out of stainless steel, and the device also packs in physical home button below the display which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. This fingerprint scanner is of a touch-to-scan variety, and according to the company it can scan your finger in 0.5 seconds. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this smartphone with some additions by Leagoo. The device is available in Midnight Black, Dazzling White and Champagne Gold.
