Lenovo Vibe Shot was announced back during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in March. The phone is available in certain regions, but its availability is still quite limited. The phone is available in China, but it wasn’t available in India, well, until now that is. A while back, we received a confirmation that the device will be announced in India on September 22nd, which is today. Lenovo kept to their promise and revealed the Vibe Shot for the Indian market, read on.
As its name suggests, this is a camera-centric smartphone. The Lenovo Vibe Shot features a 16-megapixel OIS camera (6P lens) on the back, and next to it you’ll notice the Laser Auto Focus and the triple-tone flash. The phone sports a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The lower-end variant of this smartphone is also available in China at the moment, but Lenovo decided to ship the 3GB model to India. This smartphone is fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The 8-megapixel shooter is available on the front side of this phone, and a 3,000mAh battery can be found on the inside. 4G LTE (FDD TLE & TDD LTE are both supported) connectivity and dual-SIM card support are also a part of this package, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Lenovo’s Vibe UI available on top of Google’s OS.
This handset sports a rather interesting design, especially if you take a look at its back side. The phone looks more like a camera than a phone on the back, and the triple-tone flash sure looks interesting. The Lenovo Vibe Shot some ins Graphite Grey and Carmine Red color options in India, and is priced at Rs. 25,499 ($389). The phone will be available for order from Lenovo’s official TheDoStore starting from 6PM later today (India time). The device will also be available in retail stores in about two weeks.
