LG Launching new Smartwatch in Late Sept. with Futuristic Design

LG has probably launched the most Android Wear smartwatches out of all the OEMs out there right now. They have launched the LG G Watch, G Watch R and Watch Urbane. And now it appears that they have another one on the way later this month. We had heard that this new watch was supposed to be coming to Berlin this week to be shown off and officially announced, but it appears that won’t be happening. However, a few sources have gotten in touch with Android Police and have shown them the device. Also stating that it’ll be announced later this month.

Currently there are no leaked pictures nor a name for this new smartwatch. But it’s said to be featuring a futuristic design. According to this report, we’re still looking at a round display here. However, we are looking at a different display size along with thinner bezels. We’re also hearing that LG has placed two more physical buttons on the new watch, with  one on either side of the crown. The new design is going to incorporate a brushed a polished metal look. Android Police was quoted as saying it has a “futuristic sporty look”.

While the report says that the smartwatch will be announced later this month, that’s still not set in stone. Either way, we won’t be seeing it at IFA this week, which officially kicks off tomorrow in Berlin. However, LG has announced the Watch Urbane Luxe which is gold plated and has alligator leather for the band. It really is a great looking watch, but it’s going to put a pretty big dent into your wallet, as expected.

With LG’s new Android Wear watch not making it to IFA, we still have plenty of new watches to play with. Motorola and Lenovo announced the new Moto 360 yesterday, in four sizes and variants. We also have the ASUS Zenwatch 2, and the Huawei Watch was announced again. The Huawei Watch is actually up for pre-order right now from Amazon, Best Buy, Google Store and Huawei’s website. So there are plenty of great looking watches available on the market now.
