LG Nexus 5X Specifications

It’s that time of the year when Google introduces new Nexus devices. The LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P have been leaking all over the internet for weeks now, and Google has unveiled both of those handsets today. We’ve already covered the initial announcements of both of these phones, and are here to take a closer look at LG Nexus 5X specifications. The LG Nexus 5X is the lower-end out of the two, but is still a solid offering by the company, and we might also say a direct successor to the LG Nexus 5 (2013). That being said, let’s take a look at its specs, shall we.

The LG Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080, 424 ppi) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top, along with 2GB LPDDR3 of RAM and 16/32GB of non-expandable internal storage. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor running at 2.0GHz fuels this handset along with an Adreno 418 GPU for graphics. The 12.3-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX377 sensor, 1.55um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture) is available on the back of this smartphone, and is flanked by a dual-LED, dual tone flash, and the Laser Detect Autofocus. It is also worth mentioning that this camera does not offer OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The 5-megapixel shooter (1.4um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture) is located on the front of this phone, where you’ll also find two front-facing stereo speakers. The rear-facing fingerprint scanner (called ‘Nexus Imprint’) is also a part of this package, and same can be said about the 2,700mAh battery which is located on the inside.

LG’s newest Nexus device sports a Type-C USB 3.0 port on the bottom, while the power / lock and volume rocker physical buttons can be found on its right-hand side. The aforementioned 13-megapixel shooter protrudes a bit on the back, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed on this smartphone. LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P are the first devices to ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, and in case you’d like to know more about the OS, visit our Android 6.0 Marshmallow page. The LG Nexus 5X also comes with 4G LTE support, of course, and the device is unlocked, as previous Nexus devices were. This phone measures 147 x 72.6 x 7.9mm, while it weighs 136 grams. The LG Nexus 5X is available in Blue, White and Ice Blue color options. The 16GB variant of the device is priced at $379, and the 32GB model costs $429 in the US.
