Pandora Officially Announces 'Pandora One Day Pass' For $0.99

Pandora Radio is one of the most well-known music streaming services out there to date, and that’s likely due in part to how long they’ve been around,  but also due to the way their service recommends “like” music to what you’re already listening to, which is based upon the radio stations you create when searching for a specific band or artist. While Pandora is free, it supports ads and this is something not everyone wants, which is why Pandora introduced a subscription-based model that came along with a $4.99 monthly fee called Pandora One years ago. Compared to most other music streaming services, this is a great deal for the price.

Today, Pandora is officially announcing an all-new option for their streaming service alongside the original Pandora One monthly option, which will be called the “Day Pass” and will grant users access to Pandora One for a 24 hour period for the small fee of $0.99. Now, if you’re someone who is going to be using Pandora One often enough, say, longer than five days in a month, you’re better off just paying for the month at the $5 cost. If you are only going to use Pandora One a couple of times a month however, this new Day Pass could be the perfect option for you. Just like the monthly pass for Pandora One, the Day Pass will be completely ad-free so listeners will get the same exact experiences: No ads, just lots of streaming music.

In addition to the Day Pass, Pandora is offering anyone the capability to listen to music through Pandora One completely free of ads for an entire day on September 9th as part of their Listener Love Day, which the Day Pass is sponsoring in celebration. Pandora has been around for 10 years starting tomorrow and they wanted to do something for the occasion. Listener Love Day begins September 9th at 12 am EST, and ends the following day at the same time. Once Listener Love Day is over, Android and iOS users will be able to purchase the Day Pass going forward for $0.99 as it will then be live. Whether you’re a long time listener of Pandora’s free service or a newcomer that has never given Pandora a try, now is the perfect time it seems.
