Letv is a China-based company which has announced their first three smartphones back in April. Letv is actually a well-known brand in China, but they weren’t exactly involved in the smartphone business until the released the aforementioned handsets. Speaking of which, Letv introduced the Letv Le 1 and Le 1 Pro smartphones, and a Le Max phablet back in April, and calls all of these devices ‘Le Superphones’. The company has also already teased their Snapdragon 820-powered handset which will probably launch in the first quarter of next year, and the upcoming Letv 1S has also surfaced recently.
The Letv 1S has popped up on AnTuTu recently, and revealed its partial specs. This smartphone will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) SoC, and will sport mid-high end specifications. That being said, new info regarding Letv Le Max 2 surfaced earlier today, read on. The Letv Le Max is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC along with an Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. According to a leaked document, the phablet will sport a significantly smaller 5.7-inch panel this time around. As a side note, the Letv Le Max (1st-gen) features an enormous 6.33-inch display. The document also reveals that the device will feature Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, and is set to be released in Q1 2016.
It seems like Letv plans to release a significantly different Le Max device this time around, and is giving up the enormous 6.33-inch display in favor of a much more manageable 5.7-inch panel. We still don’t know how will the rest of the specs look like, but you can expect this phone to ship with at least 4GB of RAM (considering that’s how many Le Max 1st-gen equips), and metal will almost certainly also going to be a part of this package. The Letv Le Max 2 will offers 4G LTE connectivity, and you can also expect it to sport a 20+MP camera on the back. It remains to be seen how much will Letv change the appearance of this device, the 1st-gen model looks quite sleek and has really thin bezels, so I guess we can expect them to be even thinner this time around.
