Samsung is the world’s number one smartphone manufacturer at the moment. This Korea-based smartphone OEM has introduced a number of smartphones this year, most notably their flagship Galaxy S6 smartphones and phablets (four in total). These premium offerings are only a part of the picture though, Samsung has also introduced a number of low and mid-range devices as well, as it’s the case every year, but the company is expected to announce a couple of more such devices before the end of the year. Samsung has announced the Galaxy A3 and A5 smartphones at the end of last year, while A7 followed back in January. It was to be expected that Samsung plans to announce their successors soon, and it seems like the company is working on it, at least according to the latest report, read on.
According to SamMobile, Samsung is currently working on Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 successors. The three smartphones carry SM-A310F, SM-A510F and SM-A710F models numbers for Russia, and SM-A5100, SM-A7100 for China. These are rather similar model numbers to previous models, which might suggest that these will be only iterative updates to last year’s models. You can expect these three phones to be mid-range offerings once again, and the successor to A7 will be the most powerful out of the three, of course. It will be interesting to see which names will these devices get, will Samsung stick to the original naming, or will they add something to it. Either way, this is all the info we have at the moment, unfortunately, we still don’t know the specs of these phones nor when will they launch. If anything pops up, however, we’ll make sure to let you know.
Speaking of the ‘Galaxy A’ series of phones, it is also worth mentioning that the three aforementioned devices are not the only members of this line. The Galaxy A8 was released last month, and Samsung has also trademarked the Galaxy A6 and A9 devices earlier this year. It seems like the info from SamMobile has nothing to do with those three devices though, the aforementioned model numbers refer to Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 successors.
