Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Available At Big Three In Canada

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet is now available throughout Canada at Rogers, Telus and Bell after debuting at Best Buy and Samsung’s online store.  Rogers and Bell are charging $699.99 on a no-term and Telus is slightly higher at $720 on no-term.  It was back in July when Samsung officially announced the new Galaxy Tab S2 in two sizes – 8.0-inches and 9.7-inches and two colors – black or white.  The Canadian carriers are making it easy for their customers by offering only the 9.7-inch LTE model in your favorite color, black.  Unlike the original Galaxy Tab S, the new Galaxy Tab S2 will feature a more premium body, most likely inspired by the new Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 designs with a metal frame.  Advertised as Samsung’s “thinnest, lightest and fastest tablet to date,” it is slimmed down to a mere 5.6mm for both Wi-Fi and LTE versions.

The displays are a Super AMOLED Quad HD (QXGA) resolution for brilliant color giving the tablet 2048 x 1536 pixels.  It also comes with a 4:3 screen ratio that allows any printed content you may pull up to have more of a ‘natural’ fit.  The Galaxy Tab S2 also uses Samsung’s Adaptive Display technology that adjusts the screen settings based on what you are doing – reading, gaming or watching videos.  You should not be disappointed with the display on this new Galaxy Tab S2, no matter what you plan to use it to do.

The new Galaxy Tab S2 will sport Samsung’s own 64-bit Exynos 5433 octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 1.3GHz and four cores clocked at 1.9GHz.  The device packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, but also comes with a microSD card slot to add an additional 128GB.  For a tablet, it has a large 8MP main camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera (FFC) for selfies or video chatting.  The 9.7-inch model comes with a 5870mAh battery and enough power to make it through a day. As an added incentive and in keeping with Samsung’s usual practice of throwing a few extras with their devices – buyers get a two-year subscription for 100GB of Microsoft’s One Drive storage, a three-month premium Next Issue subscription and three months of Google Play Music Premium.
