The Xperia C3 was released over a year from now, it was made for those who enjoy taking selfies as the large 5-megapixel camera is supposed to take great-quality pictures and it even features an LED flash, so these kind of pictures can be taken in any situation, plus, its wide-angle lens lets more elements fit into the picture. The rest of the specs include a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, providing the rather low pixel density of 267 ppi, but the large size of its screen let users appreciate the image while taking the picture. It is powered by the Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory is 8 GB, but there’s a memory card slot in case users need more storage for their pictures or any kind of file. On the back, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor and the battery has a capacity of 2,550 mAh.
The phone was originally launched with Android 4.4 KitKat, then it was updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, which brought many changes in the whole UI. Now, this phone is being updated to the most recent version of the operating system, Android 5.1.1. The changes in this new version are less noticeable, but they are still significant. Besides fixing most issues brought by the past version, it includes a new and colorful iconography in the Settings menu, improved volume controls and a new menu on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth icons in the Quick Settings.
The build number of the update is the 19.4.A.0.182 and it is available for the Xperia C3 (D2533) and the Xperia C3 Dual (D2502). Interestingly, the devices from all of the regions where they are available are getting the update today, as opposed to the typical regional updating process, so users won’t have to wait as much to get the update. The browser icon of the Small Apps at the bottom of the multitasking screen doesn’t belong with the rest of them, that’s because it belongs to the new iconography used in the recently announced Xperia Z5 lineup, so it makes you wonder why didn’t they change the rest of them, or maybe it only happened on the device where they got the screenshot.
