In the spirit of revamping a brand image, or perhaps just bringing a new look to an old favorite, Todoist, the popular to-do list app has brought forth a new visual appearance to their app UI along with a new app icon in the most recent app update. To help display these new visual changes they have also released a new video on YouTube which highlights the basis of the app as well as shows off the new look. It isn’t all about a new look though as the app brings about some functional changes as well, and users of the app will likely immediately take notice.
To-do list apps are not scarce by any means, which makes it all the better when apps like Todoist stand out in offering a stellar experience to users who also want to be “doers.” The app helps you get things done and for professionals looking to get a handle on their day-to-day tasks there is potentially no better option. The new logo can be seen across all of the platforms that Todoist is available for including the Android app, which is paired with a brand new look for the Todoist blog as well as the Todoist website. To round things out, the app itself also has a brand new user interface which the company hopes will reflect the changes.
Along with subtle yet noticeable tweaks to the color and the obvious changes to the logo, Todoist has a new font as well, having switched from open sans to the Graphik font. While most of the changes seem to lie withing the web apps, there are some notable changes to the whole of Todoist that can be seen across all the platforms it’s available for, like the capability to add tasks faster with the new quick add feature, as well as the ability to add advanced recurring dates to tasks you create. There is also a new Quick Comment feature which lets users add comments to tasks as they’re creating them. Lastly when it comes to new functions, there is also a new Quick Find feature which speeds up the process of finding the information you need. The theme here seems to focus on getting things done faster while still being efficient and comprehensive. The new web app has also gotten an optimization which lets it scale perfectly for any screen size so no matter what device you’re using it on you should be able to interact with it without issue.
