There are a number of high-profile China-based OEMs out there, like Xiaomi, ZTE and Huawei, for example. Every single one of you has heard of these companies before, but there are a ton of smaller Chinese OEMs which are not nearly as well known as some of these giants. Oukitel is such a company, a smaller smartphone manufacturer which is certainly trying to succeed. Oukitel has released a number of interesting devices in the past, including the U10 and K4000 smartphone. We’ve already reviewed the first device, and are here to talk more about the K4000 which has launched quite recently and is currently available for pre-order.
The Oukitel K4000 is a mid-ranger which packs in a 4,000mAh battery on the inside. We’ve already talked about this handset when Oukitel decided to hit it with a hammer (literally) in order to prove how durable it is. Well, the company has decided to perform yet another torture test this time around, which includes a power drill and the aforementioned K4000 device. If you’d like to watch this torture test, check out the embedded YouTube video below this article.
The Oukitel K4000 sports a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable native storage. The handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core SoC running at 1.3GHz, while a 4,000mAh battery can be found on the inside. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes out of the box, with some additions by Oukitel on top of it. On the back of this phone you’ll find a 13-megapixel snapper, and a 5-megapixel shooter is available on its front side. As already mentioned, K4000 sports a 4,000mAh battery on the inside, which should provide more than enough juice to get you through the day. This smartphone also offers 4G LTE connectivity, in case you were wondering. Now, if you’re interested in getting one, it costs around $120 (pre-order), and is available via various Chinese resellers which ship all around the world.
