Video: Huawei Watch Unboxing

The Huawei Watch was initially unveiled back at MWC in March of this year and instantly attracted attention due to its emphasis on quality and a more “timeless” look. As as result, the Huawei Watch quickly become one of the most awaited smartwatches of this year. In fact, it was only a couple of days ago when the Huawei Watch did finally become available in the U.S.

In terms of the specs, the Huawei Watch comes equipped with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display along with a 400 x 400 resolution. This is a full circle watch and one which comes with Sapphire Crystal glass front. While the bulk of the watch face rim is made up of stainless steel. The diameter of the Watch is 42 mm and measures 11.3 mm in thickness. Inside, the Huawei Watch comes equipped with 512MB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor (clocking at 1.2 GHz). Internal storage is set at 4GB and the Huawei Watch comes with both Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi connectivity. Sensors include a rear positioned heart rate monitor, barometer and accelerometer. The Huawei Watch is powered by a 300 mAh battery and comes running on Android Wear 1.3.

In terms of pricing, the Huawei Watch is one of the more expensive smartwatch options and comes with the ability to be customized in various ways. As such, the cost for the base variant in the U.S. comes in at $349, with the customization options rising to about $499.
