If you’re huge into sports games and a fan of the NBA and basketball in general, then strap into your seat because 2K just launched NBA 2K16 onto Android, and the game is available now via the Play Store for $7.99. This is a full-fledged game which means plenty of stuff to do, licensed teams, a wide roster of players, single and multiplayer modes and more. One thing of note is that the game does also offer in-app purchases, although these are purely optional and gamers shouldn’t feel obligated or required to spend any money past the initial cost of the game.

If you’re ok with the cost which is admittedly a little more than most Android games out there, you’ll end up getting quite a bit for your hard-earned cash. NBA 2K16 introduces the full “MyCareer Mode” which you can find on the console version of the title, but also offers up Blacktop and Season modes as well in case you prefer to play things a little differently, or if you just want to switch things up from time to time. With NBA 2K16 gamers should notice improved graphics which are a boasted feature of this new release, but more than that 2K states they have also improved the performance of the game so controls and speed of the game overall should feel more smooth than previous versions, which ultimately should make the game more enjoyable to play.

Those who have played past iterations of the NBA 2K franchise on mobile will now notice that Euroleague teams are now available for play, which should excite some gamers who may favor those teams over some of the others. If anything, it also adds some diversity to the roster giving players more choice, which is never a bad thing. 2K states device compatibility has been expanded so most devices should be supported without issue, although there are apparently some devices which may not be showing up as compatible. Having said that, if you’re able to make the purchase of this game and have the time (and space on your device) to do so, sit back and give it a few minutes as it weighs in at a hefty 1.9GB in size, which means it won’t install immediately. Once that’s done though, you’ll be on your way to becoming the NBA champion.
