Activate Samsung Pay by Nov. 8th, get a Wireless Charger

Samsung already has a ton of people using Samsung Pay. Samsung announced just this week, that they had passed the 1 million mark and they are looking to add even more. Samsung has a new promotion out for those not already using Samsung Pay to get into using it. And that’s a free Qi Wireless Charger from Samsung. For those that activate Samsung Pay between now and November 8th.

As there always is, there’s a couple of caveats here. This is US only. So you will need to be a resident of the 50 States, or Washington DC. You also need to be at least 18 years of age. Additionally, these Qi Wireless Chargers won’t be shipping for about 8-10 weeks. So it’s going to be a while before you receive yours. Finally, this promotion is only open to the first 200,000 people. So if you don’t make it in the first 200,000 users to activate, then you won’t get a free Qi Wireless Charger, unfortunately. Samsung did a promotion similar to this for the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ when those launched in August, and customers are still waiting on their wireless charger. So you’ll need to sit back and relax for a few months.

Users can go to Samsung’s site and give them their email address and follow the instructions provided on the site. From there, customers can also check on the status of their prize for activating Samsung Pay. This is all a way to get more people in the know about Samsung Pay (as many don’t know about Samsung Pay or Android Pay) and Samsung is hoping this will also get even more people using Samsung Pay. As it is accepted just about everywhere. Even places that don’t have a NFC terminal.

Currently, Samsung Pay is only available on a handful of models. Including the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. It’ll also likely be included in all upcoming flagships (and hopefully non-flagships) from Samsung in the future. Samsung Pay allows you to leave your wallet at home, and still go get a Coca-Cola from a vending machine. Just tap your phone and input your pin, and you’re all set.
