When it comes to apps, Amazon is an interesting company. They do have their own App Store and in the Android world, their App Store is probably the main contender to Google’s Play Store. Although, they never seem to be able to generate the number of users as Google does. However, one aspect in which Amazon does have the upper hand is through giving away a number of apps for free. Amazon does routinely offer a whole bunch of apps for free and typically around seasonal events like Christmas, Halloween and so on.
Well, recently the company did attempt a complete overhaul of how they do business with Apps and as a result re-branded their App Store which now comes with what Amazon refers to as Amazon Underground. This is a an App Store which is said to offer up to $10,000 worth of free apps and games. That is, the ability to play for free with no outright cost and no ads. And there are some notable titles on offer too. As such, if you had been thinking that the arrival of Amazon Underground might mean the end of Amazon’s routine mega app giveaways, then does not look to be the case. This weekend is Halloween and with it, Amazon has now made available a bunch of paid apps and games for free.
In total, the value on offer with the current giveaway is said to be $70 of free content. In truth, some of these you might already have if you have taken part in their previous app giveaways although there are a couple of notable apps worth thinking about. In terms of games, the big ones on offer include Lego Star Wars Microfighters, Bloons TD 5, Time Mysteries 2: The Ancient Spectres and Time Mysteries 3: The Final Enigma. While in terms of apps, some of the ones worth taking note of include Runtastic Pro, Photo Lab Pro, AVG AntiVirus Pro and Splashtop Remote Desktop. You can see the full list of apps and games that are now available for free by clicking the link below. Although, it is worth noting that the deals are only good from now through until 11.59 PDT on October 31st.
