Imgur gets better GIF Performance in Update
In this week’s update to everyone’s favorite image hosting site, Imgur has upgraded the performance of GIFs in the app. Because who doesn’t love watching animated GIFs. They’ve also added search functionality to the app, pretty strange that it wasn’t there to begin with. The app can be updated through the Google Play Store today.
ASUS Zenwatch Manager gets updated to v2.0
While OEM’s can’t really customize the Android Wear functionality, they can add their own customization options via their own apps. Like with Moto Connect and the Zenwatch Manager. Which got an update to v2.0 this week, and it was a big one. It brings in about 12 new watchfaces that will now work on your Zenwatch without downloading another app. It also got some UI improvements and a bit more in terms of bug fixes.
Netflix adds Chromceast Fast Play Support, then removes it
Google announced the new version of their Chromecast dongle this week, one of the new features was Fast Play. Which Netflix updated their app on the Play Store to support Fast Play, but then a few hours later they removed the feature. A Netflix representative did confirm that Fast Play is not enabled, but didn’t say when or if it was coming.
Photobucket launches for Samsung devices
This week, Photobucket, a popular site in the early 2000’s, launched a new app. This one is just for Samsung devices, unfortunately. But it will allow Samsung users to manage and easily print their photos if they so wish to do so. With the great camera on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and other flagships from this year, it’s definitely a good idea to print some pictures out.
Pocket releases Beta version 6.0.1
Pocket also released a new beta this week, bringing it to version 6.0.1. The update now allows you to send things to multiple profiles. Whether that be both Facebook and Twitter, or your new public profile in Pocket. Pocket is a great service, and one that needs to figure out how to make some money as they have millions and millions of users, and are even installed by default in Firefox now.
Slack Posts 2.0 Launches
Slack refreshed Posts 2.0 in their app. While many messages are short ones, not all of them are. Slack is looking for a way to make it easier to send longer messages in a quicker time. You can read more on their blog.
