If you’ve ever played and enjoyed Cross Road which more or less pays homage to Frogger, but with updated retro style graphics and many more elements, then you may want to give Cube Jump a try. This is an arcade game from developers Ketchapp which sort follows along the same lines of play style you’d find in Crossy Road, but without all the chaos of moving vehicles, giant flying birds which can swoop down and throw you off course and essentially anything else that can cause you to lose and start over. Having said that, Cube Jump does have similar elements to give it a level of challenge, like the moving blocks you’re trying to jump onto in an attempt to keep things going and progressing further into the level fore a higher score.
The goal of the game is pretty simple, as you play the role of a little cube who si traveling through space and you have to keep from falling off the blocks available to jump onto. That’s basically it in terms of gameplay so there’s not much complexity here, which might be just what some gamers have been looking for. The platforms in front of you move either to your left or to your right, and you’ll have to use precision timing to make sure you land on the next platform in front of you.
There are other similar elements to Crossy Road here that some users may enjoy too like unlockable characters. As you progress you can rack up your score, but you’ll also want to watch out for little cubes that are randomly sitting on some platforms. If you can collect these you can end up unlocking more characters to play, like an old school computer named Astro, a one-eyed purple monster and more. Gameplay is not the only simple thing here either, controls are simple too so it should be as enough for just about anyone to pick up and play, as all you have to do is tap to jump your cube to a new block. Cube Jump should be a great little game for the in-between times when you have a few free moments to tap away. You can pick up Cube Jump now for free from the Play Store.
