Discover New Apps on Your Lock Screen with Launchify

Everyone is always on the lookout for the next best thing. And when it comes to apps, it’s no different. Especially with the vast number of apps available in the Android ecosystem, it’s only logical why users would want to look for a new app they will most likely enjoy next. This is why it’s always a good idea to be on the lookout for your next favorite app.

While there are quite a number of apps that are able to help give you suggestions on which Android apps you should use next, Launchify takes things to a different level. For starters, it uses your location and studies it to discover apps you will most likely find useful at that time. So if you’re on the go, you will get notifications on some apps that will most likely be useful to you.

Another feature available on Launchify is that whenever it discovers new apps that it thinks you’ll like, it pushes these out through your notifications and on your lock screen. The app makes use of a very useful shortcut bar that you can easily and quickly access to open up the apps you frequently use.

On default, Launchify provides you with a single row of shortcuts that are able to contain up to six different app icons. By going into the settings of the app, you can pick out which specific apps you don’t want to be displayed on the shortcuts bar. At the same time, you can customize the shortcuts bar and add in the different apps you want to be displayed on it. So if there are some specific apps that you prefer, you can easily customize the shortcuts bar and be able to tap on their icon while you’re on the road. By being able to customize the shortcuts bar, your selection is not overridden by recommended apps that you are not likely going to want to open anyway.

Realizing the need for a second row of icons, Shashwat Pradhan (CEO of Emberify) has announced that they will be rolling out updates to the app very soon. With this update, users will be able to enjoy getting access to a second row of icons and even include your favorite contacts shortcuts. However, these will be available through an in-app purchase in the near future.
