Elephone has released their P7000 and P8000 devices this year, and the company received really positive feedback. After releasing low and mid-range devices for quite a long time, they’ve opted to start releasing higher-end offerings as well. The company’s Vowney high-end device is going to become available soon as well, and same can be said about the Android Wear-powered ELE Watch and the three P9000 devices. The company has announced that three P9000 phones will be available, the Elephone P9000, P9000 Lite and P9000c. We also know that one of those devices, the Elephone P9000, will sport no side bezels. Well, our source at the company has decided to reveal additional details when it comes to this phone, read on.
Our source has provided two renders of the P9000 handset, and as you can see, the phone looks really sleek. Its top and bottom bezels aren’t that thick, and there are no bezels on the sides. The capacitive home button is available below the display, and it seems like the device will sport a Type-C USB 3.0 as well. These images aren’t the only piece of info we’ve received though, our source has also shared some spec info as well. The Elephone P9000 will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) slightly curved display (2.5D glass probably) along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone will also offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow (this part we already knew). The 21-megapixel shooter will be available on the back of this phone, and an 8-megapixel snapper will be available up front. All of this will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 (MT6795) 64-bit octa-core processor.
That’s pretty much it. We still don’t know when will this device launch, but you can expect it to see the light of day in the next couple of weeks. Elephone’s Android skin isn’t heavy at all, which will apparently make it possible for the company to ship this phone with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. If they manage to release Elephone P9000 in the coming weeks with Marshmallow on top, that will be quite a feat for this China-based smartphone OEM.
