HTC One A9 Features A 2,150mAh Battery, Is That Enough?

HTC is not doing that well as far as profits go, the company has been having issues with sales for quite some time now. They’ve been trying to turn things around for a while now, but haven’t had any luck along the way. Well, they’re hoping that the device they’ve just announced will help them get back to the right path, the One A9. This smartphone has been rumored and leaked for months now, and HTC has finally announced it. We’ve already covered the initial announcement and specifications of this smartphone, in case you’d like to check those out. That being said, let’s talk more about the phone’s battery, shall we.

The HTC One A9 will ship with a 2,150mAh battery, which is definitely not a big battery unit, especially considering today’s smartphone standards and displays. HTC’s newest handset doesn’t exactly feature a huge display, it comes with a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED panel, but the question remains will this 2,150mAh battery be able to keep the phone awake long enough. We’ll find that out soon, during our review of this smartphone. Until then, it is also worth mentioning that you’ll be able to take advantage of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 tech in order to charge up this smartphone, while the phone is also forwards-compatible with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. There’s not much more to say about the battery at this point. we’ll have to wait and see, who knows, perhaps HTC One A9 manages to surprises us, and the fact that Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes pre-installed here is certainly a plus for the battery life.

As far as the device’s specs go, the HTC One A9 features a 5-inch fullHD AMOLED display, 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB). The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor along with an Adreno 405 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel OIS shooter is available on the back of HTC One A9, while a 4-megapixel UltraPixel snapper can be found up front.
