Letv To Enter India In Q1 2016, Phones & TV Content Incoming

Letv is one of the most interesting China-based companies. Letv is actually quite popular in China, and has been around for a while now. They’ve become popular thanks to their video streaming service, and are actually dabbling in pretty much everything tech related. Letv has announced their first three smartphones back in April this year, and all three of them have been well received and are selling pretty well in China. That being said, those devices will soon arrive in the US as well considering Letv is planning to open up shop in the States before the end of this year.

To make things even more interesting, Letv has announced a huge 120-inch 3D 4K TV a couple of days ago, and… wait for it… a smart car in partnership with Aston Martin. Very few people could have anticipated something like this, but it happened. The smart car has been announced, but it seems like it won’t be available for a while. This only goes to prove how versatile Letv is and that it will be interesting to keep track of what they have to say in the near future.

That being said, Letv has just announced plans to enter the Indian market as well. Letv will come to India in early 2016 it seems, and you can expect them to bring all sorts of goodies. This China-based company will not only bring their devices to India, but also the content based Eco User Interface. Letv did say that they’ll partner up with local content providers in order to offer various movies and TV shows to the Indian consumers. We still do not know the specifics, and probably won’t know anything about that until after Letv’s press conference.

The company did not say which devices in specific will it bring, but they will most probably offer all three of their ‘Le Superphone’ smartphones, Le 1, Le 1 Pro and Le Max, and the arrival of Le 1s is also a possibility. As a side note, the company is expected to announce a Snapdragon 820-powered device in the first quarter of next year, so it is possible that we’ll see that handset in India next year as well.
