LG has been releasing a number of well-received handsets recently. The camera on the LG G4 is considered among the best and the company included some interesting features on the recently announced LG V10, like the dual front-facing cameras which are designed for better selfies and the ability to include more elements in the picture. Not forgetting, there is an always-on secondary screen on the front which offers multiple uses. Let’s remember that this company seems to be the only one still caring about including a microSD card slot for expanding the internal memory and a removable battery.
It has been over a year since the LG G Vista was launched and now it looks like the follow-up device is on its way. It’s called the LG G Vista 2 has now been announced by AT&T as en route to their network through a video posted today. The design does seem to take some inspiration from this year’s LG G4 and its patterned plastic back and the screen seems to be slightly curved as well, but its internals are drastically improved over its predecessor. The screen measures the same 5.7-inches, but its resolution is now Full HD and it integrates a 1-watt speaker, so media consumption should be better. The main camera integrates a 13-megapixel sensor, it is assisted by laser autofocus and provides the same UI found on the G4, with manual controls to control shutter speed, ISO, exposure value and white balance. The selfie camera is now 5-megapixels and it uses the screen to capture brighter images.
It includes several features found on LG phones like Knock On, Quick Memo+ and Q Slide. It includes a Stylus that can be used to draw, crop a picture, edit videos and handwriting recognition. An unspecified octa-core processor is powering up the device along with 2 GB of RAM. There is 16 GB of expandable internal storage and the skin seems to be the one running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The video doesn’t mention details about pricing or availability, but it would be expected to launch soon enough and is likely to be priced similarly to its predecessor.
