LG V10 Specifications

LG has announced the company’s new flagship earlier today, the rumored V10 handset. This phablet has leaked several times thus far, and showed off its auxiliary ticker display above its main panel. Well, LG has jumped the gun and announced the device before the official unveiling later today. We’ve already covered the initial announcement of this smartphone, and are going to cover the event itself, so you’ll be able to see some hands-on content as well as some other LG V10-related material. While we’re waiting for the event itself to commence, let’s take a closer look at LG V10’s specifications.

The LG V10 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440, 513 ppi) IPS Quantum Display above which you’ll notice the secondary Quantum ‘ticker’ display (160 x 1040). The ‘Second Screen’ can actually be set as ‘always on’ and display various info like the weather, time, date, etc. You can also use it as an app drawer of sorts when the main display is on. This smartphone is powered by the same SoC you’ll find in the LG G4, the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor. The LG V10 also packs in 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card). The 16-megapixel camera (f/1.8 aperture, OIS 2.0) can be found up front, while there’s a 5-megapixel Dual Lens shooter (80-degree standard angle / 120-degree wide angle) available up front. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and it’s removable, just like on the LG G4.

The LG V10 offers 4G LTE-A Cat.6 connectivity option, and also packs in Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and USB 2.0. As far as Wi-Fi goes, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 a, b, g, n, ac support here. The company’s newest flagship measures 159.6 x 79.3 x 8.6mm, while it weighs 192 grams. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here, and LG’s custom UI is available on top of Google’s OS. You also get Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging tech as part of this package, which will charge up this device’s battery from 0 to 50% in 40 minutes. The LG V10 will be available in Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue and Opal Blue, which give you plenty of color options to choose from.

As far as general build goes, the V10 is made out of stainless steel, and a silicone skin is also a part of the overall design. The LG V10 offers a manual mode for video recording, which will give you far more control over your video clips. LG has packed in a number of features in this smartphone, as far as video goes, including: Steady Record, Snap Video, 15 seconds Auto Edit, Quick Video Editor, Quick Share, Audio Monitor and Wind Noise Filter. As far as sound goes, the company has included a 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC by ESS technology, and the device also sports Qualcomm Technologies TruSignal antenna boost tech, which is here to optimize signal strength.
