By now, the name Robin is one which many Android consumers will be familiar with. This is the debut phone from Nextbit and is one which has dominated the headlines over the last few weeks. In fact, it has continually made the news since the device was first announced at the start of September. This was partly thanks to the rapid return it immediately began to see once the Kickstarter campaign commenced, with the campaign finally closing and the Robin securing over $1.3 million in funding from backers.
Well, if you were one of those who had been interested in the Robin but were unsure of whether to back the project initially, then Nextbit has now confirmed that their pre-orders have opened to the public. As such, anyone can now head over to the Nextbit website and order their very own Nextbit Robin. In fact, as well as the actual smartphone, Nextbit also seem to have a number of accessories now listed, which can also be pre-ordered now as well. These include various cases, a screen protector and Quick Charger, among others.
If you need a reminder on what is on before buying, then the Nextbit Robin comes equipped with a 5.2-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the Robin comes equipped with 3GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor. Cameras on offer include a 13-megapixel rear camera, which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. While storage is one of the big selling points due to the 100GB cloud storage which comes in addition to the 32GB standard internal storage that is on offer. Not forgetting, the Robin also comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor, NFC, Quick Charge, Type-C USB and a 2860 mAh battery. For those interested, the pre-order price is currently set at $399, which is $100 more than the $299 figure that early bird Kickstarter backers were able to secure the device for.
