OnePlus 2 Invitation Requests Available Until October 22nd

OnePlus has been all over the news lately considering the company is getting ready to launch a new handset, the long rumored OnePlus X, also known as the OnePlus Mini. The company has already scheduled a press conference for October 29th, and has more or less confirmed that OnePlus X is on the way by sharing a teaser image containing a big letter ‘X’ on it. We’ve seen plenty of leaks when it comes to this phone, but are not here to talk about it this time around, we’re here to share some OnePlus 2 info with you all, read on.

The OnePlus 2 was announced back in July this year, and the company has received over 5 million invitation requests to date. So, it’s safe to say that plenty of people are interested in getting OnePlus’ new flagship. That being said, OnePlus went official on their official forum and said that they’ll stop receiving new invitation requests starting October 22nd. The company has to fulfill the reservations requests, and that’s the reason why they will stop receiving requests. Everyone’s place on the invitation request list will become static starting October 22nd, and link sharing will no longer be functional in terms of bumping you closer to the top of the list. Those of you who have already purchased OnePlus’ flagship will get shareable invitations soon, and OnePlus will hold contests for invitations from time to time, as they’ve been doing thus far.

The OnePlus 2 features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) LTPS LCD display along with 3/4GB of RAM (only the 4GB variant is available at the moment) and 16/64GB of non-expandable internal storage. This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC along with an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera is available on the back of the OnePlus 2, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The non-removable 3,300mAh battery is also a part of this package, and this device ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed with OnePlus’ Oxygen OS available on top of it. The OnePlus 2 offers a fingerprint scanner as well, which is located below the display (physical home button), and the device measures 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.9mm, while it weighs 175 grams.
