OnePlus X Available In the U.S. From November 19

Today, OnePlus brought an end to the speculation surrounding their third device, the OnePlus X. The company has finally unveiled their latest smartphone and with the unveiling have now confirmed a number of details, including the specs, the price and the availability.

In term of the U.S. availability, as with the previous two devices, the OnePlus X will not be available to purchase through any U.S. carriers and instead will only be available to purchase directly from the OnePlus website. The OnePlus X will become available in certain markets from November 5th, however consumers in the U.S. will have to wait a little longer as U.S. availability won’t begin until November 19th. In terms of pricing, the OnePlus X will cost $249 in the U.S., which makes it one of the cheapest markets to purchase the device from. OnePlus has announced two version of the device, a black Onyx version and a Ceramic version. Although, the Ceramic version is a limited edition device and does not look to be available to consumers in the U.S. For those wondering, the network compatibility in the U.S. for the OnePlus X is as follows: GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz, WCDMA B1/B2/B4/B5/B8 and FDDLTE B1/B2/B4/B5/B7/B8

Unfortunately, as well as the price and specs, OnePlus has also confirmed that to pick up the OnePlus X you will still need to receive an invite from the company. However, OnePlus has looked to soften this news by adding that the invite availability will be more intense and after the first month there will be some noticeable changes. The first of which is open sales which will become available on a weekly basis during the second month of availability. Following which, by the third month OnePlus hope to reduce if not eliminate the need for invites completely.

If you missed the earlier announcement and need a reminder on the specs, the OnePlus X has now been confirmed as featuring a 5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the OnePlus X is loaded with 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core processor. Cameras on offer include a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. The OnePlus X comes powered by a 2,525 mAh battery and comes running on Android 5.1.1, in the form of OxygenOS.
