T-Mobile announced that they would do their tenth Uncarrier event on November 10th in Los Angeles, earlier this week. Now since John Legere and his team announced Uncarrier X, many have wondered just exactly the company had planned for this event. Now since it’s at the home of the Oscars. That’d be the Dolby Theater. It’s not too surprising to see that T-Mobile is going to do a Video Freedom type announcement. Similar to Music Freedom which was announced in 2014. Music Freedom allows you to stream music from a selection of music streaming apps without using your data allotment.
Now according to Evleaks, it appears that T-Mobile is about to do the same for Video. As many of us know, video takes up a whole lot of data. And for most of us, it’s the number one reason why we need more data. Well, according to Evleaks sources, it appears that T-Mobile will allow data from apps like Netflix and HBO to not count against your limit. This is a pretty big deal. As T-Mobile is basically taking away the two big culprits of data usage, and making it so they don’t count against your limit.
Of course, this is all rumors and speculation. So we’ll have to wait until November 10th to see what exactly T-Mobile have up their magenta sleeves. So far, T-Mobile has eliminated quite a few pain points for customers with their Uncarrier movements in the past couple of years. And it looks like T-Mobile is prime to eliminate one more.
It’s also worth noting that T-Mobile has been advertising their network as being “data strong” so this could also be a way for them to show everyone that their network really is data strong. Instead of just telling everyone. The event in Los Angeles takes place at 11am PST on November 10th. So for those of you on the east coast, that means 2pm EST. As we always do, we will also be covering this event and seeing exactly what John Legere has to say this go ’round. There will likely be some jabs at his competitors as well, that’s just who John Legere is.
