Among tablet manufacturers in the world, Samsung is generally the king of sales. Offering a wide range of products from inexpensive to elegant and extravagant, Samsung covers the gamut of what you’re probably looking for in a tablet. Last year Samsung upped its game with the Galaxy Tab S, a super premium tablet that came in a few sizes to pick from depending on your preference. This year they’re bringing the Galaxy Tab S2, a similar design back in two sizes as well: an 8-inch and a 9.7-inch model. Both of these feature styling closer to the Galaxy S6 and Note 5, featuring a metal build like the aforementioned phones and feeling just about as premium as it can get.
We unbox the 8-inch gold model in this video and run through the initial setup as well as a little software tour of what’s on here. Android 5.0.2 was included on the tablet at the time of unboxing but there was a shiny little Android 5.1 update available as soon as the unboxing was through, meaning our upcoming review will be running the latest that Samsung has put out for any of its devices. Take a look at the video below and don’t forget to keep an eye out for deals if you are looking to scoop one up, it could save you some serious cash. If you like what you see and simply must have it right this instant you can grab one at Amazon, or stop in your closest Best Buy to find one.
