Rumored specs for an incoming device are nothing new. In fact, nearly every device that comes through typically sees its specs, features and general design being speculated upon, rumored on or even outright leaked. However, one device which has been rumored for quite some time now, still have not come though. Not to mention, if the latest rumors are anything to go by, then it looks like it might take some more time in getting here.
The device is the Vivo XPlay 5S and this was originally rumored on all the way back in November of last year. That leak came with some renders and suggested a very premium build. However, then the leaks went silent until April of this year when the device again popped up and again, showing off quite the premium build and design. According to the leaks which had arrived previously, the Vivo XPlay 5S is to come with a 6-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution. Inside, the Vivo XPlay 5S was expected to come sporting 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and powered by one of the current Qualcomm Snapdragon series of processors. For instance last November, it was said it would come running with the Snapdragon 805 processor, although by April, the assumption was it might come with the newer Snapdragon 810.
Well, it is almost a year later since the original rumors and six months since the last. So as to be expected, the latest rumors are now suggesting that the Vivo XPlay 5S comes with even more newer specs. It would seem the Vivo XPlay 5S will now come with 4GB RAM and is said to be powered by the unreleased Snapdragon 820 processor. Not to mention, the resolution is now also claimed to have been boosted up to QHD, as well as the internal storage being bumped up to 64GB too. Cameras on offer will consist of a 21-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. The device will come powered by a 4,000 mAh battery and also comes running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). As such, and thanks to the Snapdragon 820, then it is unlikely to be arriving anytime before 2016. That is, unless there are not newer and more updated rumors by then.
