YU CEO: High-End YU Yutopia Is On Its Way, Coming Soon

YU is a very young India-based company. This company is actually owned by Micromax, India’s largest smartphone manufacturer. YU has released four devices thus far, including the YU Yureka, Yuphoria, Yureka Plus and Yunique. That being said, none of these devices are actually high-end, they’re either entry-level or mid-range. It was just a matter of time before they decide to release a higher-end device, and info of one such phone has been surfacing lately. The device’s name is YU Yutopia, and the company’s CEO has just confirmed that the device is on its way.

The company’s CEO, Rahul Sharma, has decided to announce that the company will release Yutopia soon. He has posted this info on YU’s official forum under the title ‘Announcing YUTOPIA!!!’. ”Has it happened to you ever that you have been transformed from your real life into this dream where everything is perfect. The impractical, idealistic world where nothing is impossible. Well, it’s happening here and the state of YUTOPIA is no more a dream,” said Rahul Sharma. He has also decided to tease the high-end specs of the device, and in case you’d like to see the whole post, check out the source link down below.

According to a leaked info, the YU Yutopia will sport a 5.2-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, 3/4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device will allegedly ship in both 3 and 4GB variants, while both of those variants will come with 32GB of native storage. Anyhow, the device will probably going to be fueled by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC, at least according to the previous leak. The 21-megapixel rear-facing shooter has also been listed, and same can be said for the 8-megapixel snapper which will be located up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this device, and it remains to be seen if Cyanogen OS will be installed on it, or will YU opt for stock Android. YU and Cyanogen might not be on best terms considering YU has been re-releasing some devices with stock Android instead of Cyanogen OS pre-installed. This handset will also offer 4G LTE connectivity, and that’s pretty much everything we know up to now. You can expect YU Yutopia to be quite affordable compared to other devices in the same range, but unfortunately, this device will almost certainly going to be available only in India.
