It seems like Gionee has started sending out invites for their November 24th event which will be held in Bengaluru. The source has received such an invitation and decided to share it with the public. Gionee flat out admits that the Marathon ‘6020’ will be announced at the event. The ‘6020’ number actually refers to the 6,020mAh battery which can be found on the inside of this mid-range handset. Speaking of which, let’s take a look at what Marathon M5 has to offer in terms of specs, shall we.

The Gionee Marathon M5 sports a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) AMOLED display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The device is powered by MediaTek’s MT6535 SoC along with a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The 13-megapixel camera can be found on the back of the Marathon M5, and a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed on the device, along with Gionee’s software additions which are available as well.
