Bluboo is a China-based company which is trying to make a name for themselves out in the market. Much like a number of other smaller China-based smartphone OEMs, Bluboo is selling their devices via Chinese resellers. This company has released a couple of really interesting products in 2015, including their flagship, the Bluboo Xtouch. That being said, this company is planning to release two smartwatches soon, and at least one will be Android Wear-powered, read on.
We’ve already talked about both the Xwatch and Uwatch thus far. The Xwatch is Bluboo’s circular sports smartwatch which has been showcased by the company during the 2015 Autumn HK Global Source Exhibition. The Uwatch, on the other hand, is a rectangular-shaped smartwatch which has leaked before, and now we have some additional official info to share with you. First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that the Uwatch will be available for pre-order this week, so get ready if you’re looking to get it. That being said, Bluboo has revealed its specs, read on.
The Bluboo Uwatch will sport a 2.5D curved glass TFT display, while a 220mAh battery unit will power this smartwatch. The Uwatch will be IP65 waterproof, and will be made out of stainless steel (3.6L variant). Pedometer and sleep monitor functions will be pre-installed on here, and Bluetooth 4.0 will also be a part of the package. Interesting enough, BLuboo did mention that the smartwatch will be compatible with both Android and iOS, but did not say if it will run Android Wear or not, it is possible this watch will ship with a 3rd-party software offering, we’ll see.
Now, we’ve shared two Bluboo Uwatch images thus far, and some additional ones have been sent our way by our source at the company. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Bluboo Uwatch in the flesh. Keep in mind that this device will be available in Black, Silver and Gold color options, and that it is rumored to cost around $50.00. That being said, Bluboo actually decided to tease its pricing by sharing ‘$?9.99’ price tag, so this watch will probably cost only $49.99. Either way, stay tuned, we’ll let you know the moment Bluboo officially announces this watch.
