On Friday, Google’s Nexus account on Google+ announced that the Nexus 6P is finally back in stock in the Google Store, and that includes all variants. That’s all three colors, Frost, Aluminum and Graphite, as well as all three storage capacities, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The Nexus 6P starts out at $499 for the 32GB version, with the 64GB coming in at $549 and 128GB at $649. And of course, you can get Nexus Protect for an additional $89. According to the store, all 9 variants are leaving the warehouse in 1-2 days, with the Frost 32GB not being an option, according to the error message in the Google Store.
The Google Nexus 6P would make a great gift this holiday season, and is even listed in our gift guide. The Nexus 6P is the flagship, and premium Nexus from Google and Huawei. While we were in China visiting with Huawei, we had the chance to ask them about the Nexus 6P, and speak with Eric Fang who was the person in charge of this project. He told the media that his dream was to build a Nexus, and hearing all these great reviews of the device has him very excited for Huawei’s future as well as the Nexus brand and Google’s future. He also informed us that it was quite challenging, building the Nexus 6P because they were targeting the entire world, and not just one or two countries, like most of their phones do.
Huawei packed the Nexus 6P with some pretty high-end internals. We’re looking at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor inside, 3GB of RAM along with the option of 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage. No microSD card slot, however. Additionally, we’re looking at a 3450mAh battery inside, which has been giving everyone some pretty amazing battery life so far. We also have a 5.7-inch 2560×1440 resolution AMOLED display, and a 12MP camera around back. That’s slightly lower compared to last year’s 13MP camera, but the sensor is larger, allowing more light to come in. And the camera is absolutely amazing, to be honest. You can pick up the Google Nexus 6P from the Google Store today!
