HTC Up The One A9 Camera App To The Play Store

The HTC One A9 is the latest device from HTC and is one which is thought by many to be a device which is designed to hopefully turn the tables on what has been a less than ideal year for the company. Whether the HTC One A9 is able to make the year any better for HTC does remains to be seen right now. However, sales have finally opened for the One A9 so data on sales will begin to trickle in slowly. Although, if you are on Verizon, it looks like you might be waiting a little longer and right into 2016 before the device does become available on your network.

That said, if you are someone who has ordered the One A9 or someone who does plan to soon enough. Then it is worth noting that HTC has now opened up the Camera app to the Play Store. Of course, the immediate benefit of making the app ‘Play Store available’ is that One A9 owners can expect more timely updates and ones which do not rely on a full OS update to push to your device. A Play Store trend which has been developing of late, with many manufacturers detaching apps and making them available via the Play Store.

For everyone else, there is not exactly a lot to focus on here. This is the One A9 camera app and that means that it is only compatible with the One A9. In fact, early indications seem to be that the app cannot be installed on other HTC handsets, let alone other manufacturer handsets. So this does seem to be a one-phone only app. That is, unless someone does port the app and make it more widely available. Of course, if you are still undecided on the quality of the One A9 and its camera, then you can at least take a look at the screenshots below of what is presumably images taken with the One A9. Otherwise, you can head over to the Play Store listing for more details on what the app is said to offer by hitting the link below.
