Lava is one of the largest India-based smartphone manufacturers. This company tends to release quite a few devices on a yearly basis, and 2015 was no different. We’ve seen a number of Lava-branded handsets out there, and we have to say that the company stepped up lately. Their design choices are far better than before, and they’ve started releasing somewhat higher-end devices this year. One of the company’s new devices has been listed online in India, and it looks really sleek, while its specs are… well, mid-range.
The Lava Iris X10 has been listed on HomeShop18, and the listing basically revealed everything there is to know about this handset. The Lava Iris X10 features a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it. The phone is fueled by a quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, and it ships with two SIM card slots and a 2,900mAh battery. The 13-megapixel snapper can be found on the back of the Iris X10, and a 5-megapixel shooter is located up front. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with the company’s Star OS installed on top of Google’s OS. It is worth mentioning that this smartphone sports 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable native storage on the inside. 4G LTE connectivity is also a part of this package, in case you were wondering.
Now, as you can see, the Lava Iris X10 is quite a sleek-looking smartphone with very thin bezels. The phone seems to sport a metal trim all around, and glass on its front and back side. Judging by the render, the phone will ship with on-screen buttons, unless capacitive ones are hidden in this image. The Lava Iris X10 is currently listed on HomeShop18 for Rs. 10,990 and will be available in White color option. The phone is currently out of stock on the side though, which makes sense considering Lava still hasn’t officially announced this phone. The company is expected to make the Iris X10 official soon, the official announcement couldn’t be far behind at this point. Either way, stay tuned, we’ll let you know as soon as additional information surfaces.
