Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro has been all over the news lately. This handset has been mentioned in a number of rumors thus far, and we’ve already seen a leak or two as well. The Redmi Note 2 Pro was certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) quite recently, and it seems like the phone has received 3C Certification in China recently as well. That basically means we’ll see it launched soon, right? Well, yeah, that’s what we assumed, and it seems we were right, read on.
Xiaomi’s co-founder, Lin Bin, has decided to share a teaser image of the upcoming Redmi Note 2 Pro handset, and the image basically confirms the leaks we’ve seen thus far. If you take a look at the image above you’ll get to see the shared image which Lin Bin posted on his official Weibo account. You don’t get to see much here, just the upper back portion of the device, but that’s more than enough to see what’s going on here. That’s not all though, the company has decided to share another teaser image with the public, which you can check out below this article. This image is quite clearly suggesting that the Redmi Note 2 Pro will be quite thin, even though it doesn’t specifically mention Xiaomi’s upcoming phone.
As some of you might know, Xiaomi has already announced an event for November 24th, which essentially means the company will unveil the Redmi Note 2 Pro. It is possible Xiaomi intends to announce some additional hardware at the event considering they refer to it as the ‘Grand Finale’. Now, according to TENAA, the Redmi Note 2 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (3GB model is a possibility). The device will be powered by the Helio X10 64-bit octa-core SoC according to TENAA, and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Xiaomi’s MIUI OS on top of it. The 13-megapixel shooter is located on the back of this phone, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. The device is said to cost around 1,099 Yuan ($172), at least according to rumors.
