Lenovo has announced a number of smartphones this year, and their Vibe X3 handset is expected to land really soon. “In three years, we have reached a revenue of $2.5 billion (roughly Rs. 16,540 crores) in India compared to a target of $800 million (roughly Rs. 5,292 crores) when we came to this country which is fast evolving in the area of technology,” said Lenovo’s CEO, Yang Yuanqing. Lenovo is actually doing really well in India, they’re currently third-placed smartphone OEM over there, and they intend to keep at it. Lenovo also confirmed that we can expect further investments in India, which basically means the company will continue manufacturing devices in that Asian country as part of the ‘Make in India‘ initiative.

That is not all though, Motorola India’s Head, Amit Boni, who has also participated at this event, has confirmed the company’s plans to release Moto X Force in the country soon. He did not share any specific release date details or anything like that, but it seems like the phone will launch in the coming weeks. He has also added that the Lenovo Yoga Pro tablet is going to be available in the country soon as well, but he didn’t share any specifics regarding that either.

Lenovo has basically re-announced their new logo at the event, a logo which was released earlier this year. The company has also introduced the ‘Innovation never stands still’ tagline. Now, Lenovo is one of the most successful companies in India, and it will be interesting where they go from here. Both Lenovo and Motorola devices are quite popular in India, and it remains to be seen what products will follow after the Moto X Force and Lenovo Yoga Pro tablet.
