LG Unveils The White Gold Edition Of LG G4 In Korea

LG has announced their G4 flagship back in April this year. The LG G4 is somewhat similar to its predecessor, but it’s slightly curved this time around, while it also comes in a couple of different back cover options (plastic, ceramic and leather). The LG G4 has been out in the market for a while now, and is available for purchase all around the world. LG has even released an ever more powerful LG V10 last month, which is even more powerful than the G4. That being said, LG has just released yet another color variant of the G4, the White Gold model, read on.

The phone has been announced by LG Korea, which suggests that the phone will be available in Korea at first, and who knows if it will roll out to other areas at all. In their press release, LG states that they’re targetting women and ‘young consumer base’ with this release, which is understandable. The VP of LG Electronics Korea, Jo Sung-ha, said the following (rough translation): ”The LG G4 was, and still is, a very popular smartphone. We’ve decided to give our consumers more options by releasing the White Gold variant of the phone. We do believe that this color combination is best suited for the upcoming winter months.”

The LG G4 White Gold Edition is basically identical to the regular LG G4, aside from the color change, and the fact that this variant offers you to expand internal storage up to 2TB. The phone sports a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Quantum display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card). The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core processor along with an Adreno 418 GPU for graphics. The 16-megapixel OIS camera is available on the back of the phone along with a dual-LED, dual tone flash, and a Laser Autofocus. The removable 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Android 5.1 Lollipop comes out of the box here with LG’s custom skin available on top of it.

This device measures 148.9 x 76.1 x 6.6-10.1mm, while it weighs 160 grams. The phone does come in White Gold combination of colors, but you have a number of back cover options at your disposal. That’s pretty much it, this phone is aimed at the Korean smartphone market and it remains to be seen if it will be available for purchase elsewhere.
