If you’re a fan of the short videos and adverts that Google routinely release, then you have been made to wait recently, as there has not been too many videos coming through. However that did all change yesterday when it was reported Google had released two videos which were dubbed “Silent Disco Dancers” and “Sight Seekers”. Both videos did contain a common theme which seemed to be making reference to the Google App, although, one of the videos clearly also made a point of app-dropping another one of Google’s apps, Play Music and its ability to offer a playlist for just about every occasion.
Well, it seems they were not the only video adverts the company released yesterday as another video has now been spotted doing the rounds. Like the previous videos, this one again, does place some focus on Google’s extensive ability to search information and provide results. However, like the Silent Disco Dancers video, this app is also promoting another one of the Google Apps. This time it’s Google Photos.
The video is entitled “El Gato Loco” and makes use of Mexican Wrestling to drive home the point. The video highlights how an ex-girlfriend of a wrestler realizes her past partner is the wrestler behind the mask. How does she realize this? Well she recognizes a cat tattoo on the Wrestler. Following which, she snaps an image of the wrestler (more specifically that tattoo) and then uses Google Photos to search for similar and past images of cats. Yep, it might seem like a rather long-winded way to identify a past spouse’s tattoo, as you would expect someone to already know a tattoo an old flame had. That said, it is just a quick video promoting Google Photo’s ability to search not just for people, or places, but also objects and yes, cats. More specifically, Photo’s intelligent ability to recognize greater levels of detail. Like for instance, that the tattoo was of a cat. Those interested in checking the video out, can do so by hitting play below. It is a fun video and is played to the backing track of “Down In Mexico” by The Coasters, in case you were wondering.
