Pinterest allows users to store all sorts of pictures and photographs from various articles and see more information about them at any given time. Recently, they introduced a new feature for iOS devices which allowed users to buy stuff right from the app, and now that same feature has come to Android devices as well. You might see buyable Pins in your home feed, the boards of your preference and in search results. Those Pins can be easily recognized as they feature a blue color. Results can even be filtered by price to make it easier to find the right article for you. If a certain pin has different color options, you might see them right in the app and if you are not convinced of buying a pin at that moment, you can pin it yourself so you can see it later.
To view all the buyable Pins from a certain store, users will see a Shop Pins button right on their profile. You can also use the visual feed if you’re not sure of what you’re looking for, just go to the Shop our picks category to find some of the best products on Pinterest and the Shop category will show the latest buyable Pins. There are currently over 60 million buyable Pins and they are rolling out to U.S. Android devices starting today. Users can easily buy their favorite articles with just a few taps, after tapping the Buy Now button, they will be prompted to enter their info and it will be saved automatically so it will be ready for the next time they want to buy something. The checkout process is simple and secure and every seller on Pinterest can be trusted, as it has to go through approval and a review process.
They have also revamped their Shop, where users will be able to find new hand-picked collections every day. Users can look for products of their favorite stores like Bloomingdale’s or Nordstrom or even some exclusive small boutiques like The Citizenry or Heist. The new store will be rolling out on the next couple of weeks for both Android and iOS devices, to access it, users just need to tap the explore icon and then tap Shop.
