Verizon, AT&T and Sprint have all reportedly started selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the gold platinum color. T-Mobile became the first major carrier in the US earlier this month to offer the fifth generation flagship phablet from Samsung in the new color option, and now the other three carriers have followed suit. Meaning, now, Samsung’s latest phablet flagship will be available in the brand new color from all four leading wireless carriers in the country. One thing worth remembering however, is that Sprint is the only carrier amongst the three to be offering both the 32 and the 64 GB versions of the device. While AT&T is stocking only the 64 GB variant, only the 32 GB model is up for grabs from the Big Red. T-Mobile however, much like Sprint, will be offering both versions on its network.
Coming to the pricing, none of the carriers seem to be charging any premium for the unique finish on the new option. AT&T is charging $28 per month for 24 months with zero down for qualified customers with good credit history or $349.99 with a two-year contract. Those wanting to pay full retail for the device upfront will need to fork out $839.99. Verizon meanwhile, will charge $29 per month for 24 months, with zero down payment. Since the carrier recently did away with multi-year contracts on new devices, the only other way to buy the device on Verizon will be to pay the full retail price, which is $696. As for Sprint, the 32 GB version will cost ‘well qualified’ buyers $25 per month with zero down, or $249.99 with a two-year contract.
The full retail price for the 32 GB model at the carrier will be $739.99. As for the 64 GB model, it will be available for $100 down and $26 monthly on lease or $30.80 monthly on the 24-month Easy Pay option. The device will also be available at $349.99 with a two-year contract, and for $839 at full retail. The only change on the gold platinum version of the device is the outer finish. As far as the hardware specs and software features are concerned, the device is identical to the one being sold for the past few months now.
