Supernet is a VPN application for Android that promises to offer a fully unlimited VPN service totally free. It does this by asking members of the community to watch ads and such in order to keep the service free for everybody. VPN apps are often available for free, but not in unlimited capacities such as this. Supernet allows users to connect to any location no matter where they are and then get access to geo-restricted content, such as Netflix and Hulu. More than that however, Supernet will encrypt all your personal and private information when using the web and make it nice and simple to bank securely, send message privately and more. So, let’s take a closer look, shall we?
Just as with the majority of Android apps, it’s best to download Supernet VPN from the Play Store. When you launch the app, you’ll be introduced to what it has to offer.
As we touched on earlier, Supernet is kept free by the community opting to watch ads on their device. This is a pretty novel way of doing things, and while it can be annoying, a free and unlimited VPN service that only asks you to watch a few ads is certainly worth it.
Getting connected is nice and simple here with Supernet, all you need to do is to hit the button that says you’re not secure, as shown below:
Now, as with every other VPN app on Android, you need to be aware that all of your data will be passed through their servers when it’s use.
I was only offered a choice of the UK or the United States which is good for those outside of these nations, but not so much for those residents of the US or the UK.
When the connection is active, you’ll see both in the app, as well as in your notification drawer, too.
As I always do with these VPN apps, I went to go and check whether or not it had actually relocated me, and I was happy to see that I was now reported as using the Internet in the United States, on the East Coast with a shiny new IP address.
This was an interesting VPN app to review, as many of them do have free options available, but that’s exactly what they are, free options rather than a fully-free service. Premium subscriptions seem to be the everyday happening in the world of Android VPN apps, but Supernet is definitely different. With this, you can put up with a few video ads here and there – which aren’t skippable, FYI – and you get all the access to an unlimited VPN service that you want. It’s a neat idea, and one that I wonder why hasn’t taken off before. I do have my concerns though, and the old proverb of “if something seems too good to be true…” keeps appearing in my head. Plus, I was only able to connect to one of two countries when testing this, for whatever reason, so I was limited by that.

Pros
- Completely free to download and use, permanently, with no data caps or anything like that.
- Simple and easy to use interface that gets the job done nice and quickly.
- Offers users a simple and free way of securing their information while online, without the associated fee.
- Great way of accessing geo-restricted content no matter where you are in the world.
Cons
- Only showed up two locations for me, the UK and the US, but this might be how it stays free.
- Ads might be off-putting for certain users, but this does make the app free for everyone.
Supernet VPN is an excellent app for those looking for a way to get online and access all the content that they want without having to pay for a subscription fee or anything like that. Completely free and unlimited, using ads to keep the service going is a good idea, but how long that will work for is unclear. Regardless, this is a clean and modern-looking Android app that has a lot of value to it.
