There Is An LG Android Phone Which Costs Less Than $10

One of the advantages of the Android operating system is that can be found running on devices with many different designs built with a variety of materials from plastic to exotic metals, they integrate different specs and consequently they can be found at different price points. The Android One program is supposed to ensure a good Android experience on low-priced devices as Google set some guidelines for their internals and those devices get updated directly by Google, so they might get the latest versions of the OS faster than the rest. Yet, an LG phone was spotted with an insanely low price.

There are several reasons to buy a cheap phone, some users probably like to have a phone to spare in case their main one gets damaged, they might want to experiment with the software making modifications that might void the warranty on a cheaper device or perhaps they just want to see the difference that powerful internals bring to the experience. Either way, the TracFone-branded LG Lucky L16C that sells at Walmart for $9.82 might be worth checking out (that’s right, this phone costs less than $10!). Of course, those who end up buying this phone shouldn’t expect an outstanding performance or the most current specs, but this phone has access to the Google Play Store, so it should work with many apps.

So what else can this ultra-cheap phone do? The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat which was released more than two years ago, and it probably won’t get updated to newer versions of the operating system. While the general aesthetics of this version might seem a little outdated, users would still get most features found on more recent versions. Its display measures 3.8 inches with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. There’s a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and it integrates a 3-megapixel camera on the back capable of video recording. It supports 3G network connectivity and it is also compatible with WiFi and Bluetooth devices. There are 4 GB of internal storage and it can be expanded with Micro SD cards. The phone is currently out of stock, so those interested should check for its availability some other time.
